      *Topic:A CALL TO REPENTANCE*

      *Scripture: Luke 24:44-48*

And he said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you: that all things concerning me which were written in the law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled”.
Then he opened their understanding, so that they could understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day; also that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.”

      # Repentance is a concept that isn’t talked about enough in some churches today. Yet it was a key point in what Jesus preached and something He specifically instructed the church to proclaim everywhere (Matthew 4:17 Luke 24:47)

Repentance is prompted by the Holy Spirit: He brings conviction concerning sin so that we’re encouraged to depend on Jesus’ righteousness.

When we commit to repent—that is, to turn from sin and toward God—the Spirit supplies the power for us to do so. He transforms the inner person and gives new desires for holiness and obedience.

      # While salvation involves an understanding of sin and a choice to repent, some people mistakenly think they themselves must clean up their life before coming to Christ.

But that is actually impossible. No one can make himself righteous apart from the work of the Holy Spirit—only God can give a clean heart, holy desires, and a transformed mind.

      # For unbelievers, that false assumption can seem an insurmountable obstacle to salvation. That’s why God’s children must know the truth about repentance and share it, clearing the way for lost souls to trust Christ as Savior.

•In addition, Do you know that true repentance has the power to unlock doors of opportunities?

      Read Proverbs 28:13.
Tell me what you think, Oh yes, that’s true.

True repentance has the potential to unlock opportunities in life.

*True repentance should be a priority*

      Hidden sins deter your progress.

We fail to achieve our missions dew to hidden sins.
*it says if hide your sin you will not prosper*

Don’t harbor sin , it ruins life.

You pray but you don’t receive? Check your relationship with God.

Read Isaiah 59:1; See, the LORD’s hand is not
so short that it cannot save,
      and his ear is not
so dull that it cannot hear,

Relationship with God begins with repentance. There is no other way to start your journey with God without repentance.

      What do you think?

      God has it all.
Yes, He is ready to give it to you.

Don’t let that sin delay you.

      Repent!

But Remember , there’s Fake Repentance also.
      -No change.
      -No Remorse.
      -Justifying your error.
      -Repeating your error.
-Looking for others to side with you in your error.
      -Blaming the one you hurt.
      Those are false repentance.

Almighty God commissioned me saying; Go preach to the Nations of the world, ask them to repent for the kingdom of God is at hand and THE TIME IS FAST RUNNING OUT

      # *PRAYER* ; Heavenly and Almighty God, I come before you humbled and sorrowful, aware of my sin, and ready to repent. Lord, forgive me for I have sinned before you. Wash away my sin, purify me, and help me to turn from this sin. Lead me to walk in your way instead, leaving behind my old life and starting a new life in you. Lord, you who are loving and just, show compassion upon me, shower me with your mercy. All this I pray through your Son Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sin. *Amen.*

      • Matthew 3:7-11 ⁷ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? [8]Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, [9] and do not think to say to yourselves, We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. [10] And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [11] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

        • The Pharisees and Saducees never thought of repentance, in other words, they were righteous in their own eyes and therefore saw no need for repentance. They consider themselves coming from the direct lineage of Abraham as a source of righteous. But unfortunately that’s not the case with God. Even today, we have many people who behave like the Pharisees and Saducees, they assume because they pray in a certain church, being relative or son of a certain pastor or priest as a source of their righteous and therefore see no needs for repentance but that has blindfolded many. Repentance precedes forgiveness and the baptism of the holy Spirit. And after receiving the holy Spirit, the heart is soften and repentance becomes a daily life life style.

        • Sins hardens the heart, Remember Genesis 4:9, when Cain killed his brother, God came and asked him, “where is your brother?” But he answered, “I don’t know. Am I the keeper of my brother?” Look at how he was speaking to God. The same thing with the Pharisees, they dodged John’s baptism and repentance and they killed Jesus even though they found him not guilty” So sins hardens the heart and only leads to more sins, but repentance opens the door to holy Spirit. After which we are called to Renew our minds on a daily basis to overcome sins. Romans 12:2 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Glory to God hallelujah 🙏🙏🙏
