THE DISARMED ENEMIES­­­­

Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

In the days of old, if a king goes to war against another king, the one who wins would grab all the weapons of the enemies and he would arrest all those who surrender, and make a public spectacle of them by making them go through some embarrassing situation like flogging them in public, tying a rope around there necks and running them along the streets just to make sure they embarrass them very well.

Now, the verse above is telling us that Jesus disarmed the rulers and principalities and made a public spectacle of them. meaning that he took away there weapons, and he embarrassed them publicly. Some books says, he disgraced them publicly.

But who are these rulers and principalities?

For us to understand this well, lets look in the book of Daniel, Daniel prayed for 21 dyas and an angel was sent to him on the first day Daniel started praying. But the angel didn’t reach that very day, it took him 21days to reach Daniel.
So the angel told Daniel that he was detained by the prince of Persia not until angel Michael came and fought and had him released.

Daniel 10:13 “But the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”

So you can see in this case that it wasn’t just a human prince. we all know that there is no human king or prince who can arrest an angel. But is talking of a spiritual prince who rules over that nation. This is satan and the demons who reign over people and nations.

No wonder Paul said, Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

So the opening scripture is telling us that those rulers and principalities has been disarmed by Jesus. They can’t do any arm to you anymore. That’s why the devil and his company has resorted to telling lies.
No wonder revelation says he deceives the whole world.

Revelations 12:9 “This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.
When you see a man trying to get pregnant and give birth, then you can tell how far the devil has deceived humanity.

The enemy has got nothing more to offer that’s why he goes on deceiving people all the time.
But most people still fear the devil, they be like, don’t talk like that, don’t call his name here, they are filled with fear. That’s why they can’t cast him out of any person. He rules over them, so they can’t cast out their master.

Jesus knew he had disarmed the devil that’s why he gave you power over him in Luke 10:19.
But until you get to know this truth, you will always walk in fear of the devil, But when you walk with the consciousness that your enemies has been disarmed, then you will find the courage to resist them and cast them out. Hallelujah!

Admonition
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment, You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me, Says the Lord.”
Now this verse is even more interesting, it says, incase they try to form another weapon to harm you, it will not prosper. in other words, it will not be a success, hallelujah.

PRAYER
Heavenly father, i thank you because you have disarmed my enemies and given me power over them. And again, incase they try to form another weapon to harm me, you have declared that it will not prosper. For that, i have no reason to fear the devil or any form of witchraft performed against me. Thank you Jesus for the wonderful work done for my sake. Amen
