The word cleanses us

John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Some people struggle a lot to live a righteous life before God, they struggle with addictions, greed, lies, fornication, etc.

Some people know that it is not right for them to live that way and they always want to fight it and live a righteous life before God, but it has never been easy for them.

They may fast and live a good life for few days and afterwards the habits come back again.
In our opening verse above, Jesus made it clear that it is the word which cleanses us. He said to his disciples, you have been made clean by the words i have spoken to you.

Every time you read this word, something is broken off from you, and the more you read, the more worthless things are broken off from you. Jesus used the word pruning.

The word speaks the truth, and where the truth is, there is light. And where the light is, no darkness prevails.

That’s why Jesus said in John 8:31-32, if you continue in my word, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

The reason why many people are struggling with certain sins is because they were exposed to a certain false light and that light is busy misdirecting their thoughts, but when you read the word and you cross examine that light against the word, then you will discover that it was actually darkness because the bible says even satan masquerades as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:14 “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”

The more you read the word, is the more you will discover that its very easy to get rid of sins. Actually you don’t need to struggle because the word of God is powerful enough to destroy every stronghold in your life and your family, you only need to give it time and the opportunity to do his work by reading it and putting it in your heart.

That’s why Apostle Paul said, 2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
The best weapond we have then is the word of God!

Admonition
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from His sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

The word of God is powerful enough to clean us and keep us from sins, you only need to keep getting closser to it every moment, when you spend more time in the word, you will have less business with sins. Hallelujah!
Show me a man who is struggling with sins, and i will show you a man who have no time for the word of God. Hallelujah.
Most people still don’t understand why their tears keep coming out whenever they read what i write, but one day they shall get to know this amazing thing. Glory be to God.

PRAYER
Father, its your word that redeemed us, and it is your word that can preserve us until the day of Christ when the last trumpet shall blow and men and women shall dig holes into the ground to try and hid from your glory. But as for us, your word which abides in us shall draw us more closer and closer to you. May your holy name be glorified forever and ever, and all the saints say, Amen!
