Living in truth♥️

John 8:31-32: “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed on him, If you continue in my word, then you are truly my disciples; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

One day a math teacher set a question on the blackboard, and asks students to do it. Different students tried with different formulas but none of them got the answer right.

The teacher went as far as giving them the right formula which they would use to get the right answer but still they couldn’t. Not until the teacher did it by himself and explained everything to them, then they all got it.

But some of them just went on defending their wrong formulas and trying to prove themselves right, and when the next question was set, the rest were getting it and those who were arguing were still failing it.

So here is the point, it’s not just about defending yourself and trying to prove yourself right or defending your qualification. No, it’s about knowing the truth. Do you know the truth?

You see, today we have so many people who think that because they have attended some seminary, or been under some good teacher therefore they know the word of God.

Jesus was arguing with the Jews over the same issue.

To them, they thought that because they are the descendants of Abraham and being older than Jesus, therefore they knew more and were safer.

John 8:33 “We are the descendants of Abraham,” they answered, “and we have never been anybody’s slaves. What do you mean, then, by saying, ‘You will be free’?”

God does not look for the qualifications or connections because they are simply human judgement. He looks for the truth, do you really know and carry the truth?

Take your time to know the truth, even when you hear the word of God, don’t just agree or starting opposing and arguing over everything, take some effort to search the scriptures to find out if they are really the truth because it is the truth that has the power to set you free from many things.

Today many people are in bondage and suffering not because their sins are too big for God to save them, but because they don’t know the truth!

That’s why Jesus said, John 8:32 ” If you continue in my word….then you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

You have to know the truth. But Knowledge doesn’t come at once it comes slowly.

Did you wake up one day and found yourself knowing the whole mathematics or history?
Of course not, it was a build up of knowledge, as you kept studying, you got to know more until you became a nurse, engineer, doctor, etc.

That’s why Jesus said You have to continue studying his word, before you can know the whole truth, but most people first want to know the truth before they start studying the word.

No, you have to start studying his word now, and the truth will find you on the way. hallelujah

And John said, 3 John 1:4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

John said this because He knows everyone who walks in truth have freedom. They are free, unlimited, unstoppable and undefeatable! Hallelujah

John 17:17 “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
The truth is not got from anywhere, but in the word of God alone, that’s why Jesus said, if you continue in my word, then you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. He didn’t say, you shall be set free then you shall know the truth afterwards, which is what most people do.
They want the pastor to first scatter the demons in their lives and afterwards they start studying the word, no this is wrong. He said, if you continue, that means you have to start now and the freedom shall follow as the truth come in. hallelujah 🙏

Heavenly Father, you are holy and you are good. There is nothing hidden from your site, you search and bless those who live in truth. We thank you for blessing our lives and making us more powerful in your word. Thank you Jesus, Amen.
