(2 Corinthians 5:7)You know, there are people whose lives are completely controlled by what happens around them.If good things are happening in their lives, then they are happy, but if bad things are happening, they become angry and spend a lot of time thinking about the problem.Even if just a random guy insults them in the street, they carry that insult and meditate on it day and night.But that’s not your life as a believer. The Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight. That means even if bad things are happening around you, you don’t need to focus on them.You have to believe and hold firm to the good things stated by the word of God, which are coming your way. Then you shall see them come to pass.But when you keep meditating on the bad things, you are giving them power, and soon they will completely conquer your life.That’s why the man in Lamentations 3:19-20 said, “The thought of my pain, my homelessness, is bitter poison. I think of it constantly, and my spirit is depressed.”He said, he think of it constantly, he meditated on his problems every now and then. And guess what happened, he became depressed.When you keep setting your eyes and mind on the bad things happening around you, and you keep thinking of them, your life will be in total turmoil.Refuse to let your life be controlled by the circumstances; but by faith, hold onto what the word of God says about you.His word says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)Set your mind on such things, and you will live to see them come to pass in your life.Hallelujah 🙏AdmonitionWhen Jesus was giving the parable of the sower, he talked about the seed that fell among thorns.Luke 8:7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.He went on to explain in verse 14 that, ……..The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by life’s worries, riches, and pleasures, and they do not mature. (Luke 8:14)Now, Jesus was describing those who have allowed their lives to be controlled by the circumstances.Even when they are from listening to the word of God, assuring them of good things, if someone tells them bad news, that is what they believe, and they completely shift their focus on it. Then they meditate on it every now and then.That is being controlled by the circumstances; refuse to be in that category. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Hallelujah 🙏PrayerHeavenly Father, I thank you for making me know who I am and your thoughts towards me, thoughts of peace and not of evil. I declare that my life will never be controlled by circumstances but by your word because your word is life and your word is truth. It has the power to make us who He says we are. We give you glory and honor; forever and ever.
